Clearing a demolition site means grabbing tangled concrete one minute and sorting salvage the next. The Dymax Construction & Demolition Grapple is engineered for both. Box weld intersecting tines in a 2-over-3 pattern grip irregular loads, and 180° or 360° rotation places material exactly where it goes instead of repositioning the machine.

Ideal for contractors, municipalities, and highway departments, Dymax C&D grapples are available for wheel loaders and hydraulic excavators ranging from 8 to 36 tons.

Sorting, separating, and loading demolition debris, broken concrete, brush, and bulky scrap. The box weld intersecting tines hold irregular material that straight tines drop, which makes it a fit for cleanup, salvage, and material handling on demolition and construction sites.

It’s built for wheel loaders and hydraulic excavators from 8 to 36 tons. Excavator models rotate a full 360°; wheel loader models rotate 180°. Tiltrotator-coupler versions are available for 13- and 20-ton excavators.

On excavator models, yes — the grapple rotates a full 360° from a gear drive rotation system. Wheel loader models rotate 180° (90° left and right) on twin trunnion cylinders.

It’s sized to the machine. Excavators from 8 to 18 tons run a single-motor gear drive; 20- to 36-ton excavators run a twin-motor drive to turn the heavier grapple under load. Both deliver full 360° rotation.

Excavator 360° models need two circuits — one to open and close the grapple (15–20 GPM at 3,000 psi) and one for the rotator (8 GPM at 3,000 psi).

Wheel loader models need 3rd and 4th valves: 15–30 GPM for open and close, 10–30 GPM for rotation, both at 3,000 psi.

Tiltrotator models run on a single grapple circuit.

Dymax offers an electro-hydraulic valve kit with needle valves for 12- or 24-volt machines. It installs on the machine’s cable harness and ships already set up on the grapple, so you can run the rotator without a dedicated circuit.

No. Jumper hose assemblies and disconnects to the machine’s auxiliary lines aren’t supplied, since the run depends on your machine. Everything on the grapple side is ready to connect.
