Job Overview
At Dymax, inventory accuracy is critical to keeping production moving and costs under control. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you’ll be responsible for tracking, auditing, and managing raw materials and components across our operation.
This role is hands-on — working between the warehouse, yard, and production floor — ensuring materials are where they need to be, when they need to be there, and accounted for correctly in our systems.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile physical inventory with ERP system data.
- Track material usage, fallout, and scrap to support cost recovery and process improvement.
- Unload, inspect, and verify incoming materials for accuracy and quality.
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move inventory safely and efficiently.
- Maintain organized storage and accurate labeling of raw materials and components.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure correct material usage and tracking.
- Support inventory investigations and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in managing scrap and recycling processes.
- Contribute to inventory-related projects and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse, or material handling roles preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing or metal supply environment is a strong plus.
- Forklift experience required (or ability to obtain certification).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry.
- Ability to communicate effectively across departments.
- Reliable, self-directed, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout the facility and yard.
- Regular bending, crouching, and reaching at various heights.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
- Comfort working around heavy materials and equipment.
