CNC Machinist

Job Overview

Dymax is seeking skilled and motivated Machinists to join our Fabrication & Machining team. We operate a diverse, high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment where accuracy, craftsmanship, and problem-solving directly contribute to the performance and durability of our products.

We have openings across Machinist I, II, and III levels, with placement based on demonstrated experience, CNC capabilities, and technical proficiency. Ideal candidates bring at least two years of CNC machining experience and thrive in an environment where every component must be produced to exacting standards.


What You Will Do

Machining & Production Execution

  • Set up and operate CNC lathes, vertical mills, and horizontal mills to produce precision components.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, GD&T, and work instructions.
  • Perform tool changes, offsets, and basic program edits to maintain quality and throughput.
  • Inspect in-process work to verify critical dimensions and conformance to specifications.

Workflow Optimization & Ownership

  • Work from the dispatch list to prioritize jobs and meet production deadlines.
  • Identify tooling needs or setup improvements to optimize efficiency at the operator level.
  • Collaborate with the Fabrication Supervisor to resolve issues, reduce waste, and maintain smooth operations.

Quality & Documentation

  • Complete required labor reporting, operation step confirmations, and rework entries within the ERP system.
  • Maintain clean, organized workspaces and follow all standards for handling raw materials and finished goods.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to elevate machining performance and product quality.

Safety & Collaboration

  • Follow Dymax safety protocols, including proper PPE usage.
  • Communicate effectively with fabrication, welding, assembly, planning, and engineering teams.
  • Support a positive team culture by sharing knowledge, assisting peers, and modeling high standards.

What You Bring

Required

  • 2+ years of CNC machining experience (setup and operation).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining fundamentals.
  • Experience using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measurement tools.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with team priorities.
  • Reliable work ethic and commitment to quality and safety.

Preferred

  • CNC program editing or programming experience (G code familiarity).
  • Background in manufacturing, heavy equipment, or high-tolerance machining.
  • Experience with horizontal machining centers and multi-axis work.
  • Prior experience in an MRP/ERP-controlled production environment.

WELDER – HEAVY EQUIPMENT FABRICATION

Job Overview

At Dymax, inventory accuracy is critical to keeping production moving and costs under control. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you’ll be responsible for tracking, auditing, and managing raw materials and components across our operation.

This role is hands-on — working between the warehouse, yard, and production floor — ensuring materials are where they need to be, when they need to be there, and accounted for correctly in our systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile physical inventory with ERP system data.
  • Track material usage, fallout, and scrap to support cost recovery and process improvement.
  • Unload, inspect, and verify incoming materials for accuracy and quality.
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move inventory safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain organized storage and accurate labeling of raw materials and components.
