Make Your Loader Buckets Last Longer in Abrasive WDG
Western Plains Energy processes 80,000 bushels of Wet Distillers Grains (WDG) daily. To handle the tough material, they added a new CAT 930 high lift loader from Foley Equipment, working closely with Foley salesman Doug Minson.
Dymax partnered with Foley Cat and Western Plains Energy to design a purpose-built bucket for this application.

Building a Better Bucket for WDG Applications
Sorghum WDG is abrasive and tends to chew through steel quickly, so we added extra wear protection to extend service life and reduce downtime. Special guarding was also integrated to help deflect material away from the Fusion coupler and hydraulic cylinder on the Dymax Rollout Bucket.
The collaboration delivered a well-built solution that both Western Plains and Foley Cat were pleased with – meeting the demands of the job while minimizing future maintenance requirements.
