Dymax Landfill Dozer Blades have 30° U-wings that keep more material in front of the blade, instead of spilling out to the right or left.

An integrated trash rack provides excellent visibility, even when the blade is full.

In the 1970s, the Balderson family pioneered the original Landfill Blades — and we’re still building them today at Dymax. Every blade is matched to the machine and sized to the job.

FAQ

A standard blade is built to move dirt and rock.

A landfill blade is built to move high volumes of loose, light, tangled waste. It has a U-shaped profile with 30° wings that hold refuse instead of letting it spill off the sides, and a top-mounted trash rack that keeps material out of the operator’s sight line and off the machine.

It fits Caterpillar and Komatsu crawler dozers from the D6 / D65 class up to the D9 / D275 class. It mounts to factory outside-mount push arms, so there’s no machine modification. LGP and wide-track configurations are available for the D6 and D7 classes.

Capacity runs from 16.50 cubic yards on the D6 class to 50.30 cubic yards on the D9 class, with blade widths from 13 to 18 feet. The U-profile and 30° wings keep more material in front of the blade per pass, so you clear the same pile in fewer passes.

The top rack gives the operator a clear view over the blade while keeping refuse from riding up and over onto the machine. Better visibility means safer spotting, and less debris working its way into the radiator, tracks, and cab.

Yes. The blade ships with bolt-on, replaceable cutting edges. When an edge wears, you swap it instead of rebuilding or replacing the whole blade — which keeps the machine working and reduces cost over the life of the attachment.

Yes. Waste streams and cover-soil conditions vary site to site, so Dymax builds landfill blades to order and configures them to your machine and material.

If you’re pushing an abrasive mix — construction debris, rocky cover soil — ask about a heavier wear package.

Every Dymax attachment is made to order in Wamego, Kansas. The Balderson family has been designing and building heavy equipment attachments for five generations, including designing some of the original landfill dozer blades in the 1970s.
