Dymax Coal Blades are built to maximize production on coal stockpiles around the world. From port facilities to power plants, our coal blades provide excellent rolling action and promote efficiency. Dymax coal blades feature a specially designed moldboard with twice the capacity of a standard dozer blade.

The Balderson family pioneered the use of large oversized coal blades in the 1960s, and today Dymax continues to provide customers with job-matched, high-performance coal blades.

FAQ

A Dymax coal U-blade carries up to twice the capacity of a standard blade of the same class.

The oversized moldboard and 30° wings build a U-shaped load in front of the machine, so you move more per pass with fewer passes.

Use a coal blade when the job is pushing and rolling high volumes of coal — building and reclaiming stockpiles or short slot dozing.

Use a coal bowldozer when you’re carrying material far enough that it would spill over the ends of the blade. The sidewalls hold the full load the entire push and release it when you lift. 

Dymax Coal Blades are available for track dozers from Cat D6 through D11 and Komatsu D65 through D475, and Cat wheel dozers from the 814 through the 854.

Blades mount to factory outside-mount push arms and are built to the machine.

Typically, no. Coal isn’t abrasive, so a standard high-strength moldboard holds up fine and keeps the blade lighter.

For sites that also handle rock, slag, or grit, upgraded T1 moldboards and liners are available on request.
