The Dymax Limb Tree Shear for Excavators and Backhoes is extremely efficient in right-of-way maintenance for railroads and county highway departments.

The small, compact frame allows operators to shear limbs and trees in hard-to-reach areas. Dymax Rotating Limb Shears are ideal for trimming around power lines and tree pruning using excavators and backhoe loaders.

With 180° of hydraulic rotation, these shears will adjust to the limb. Non-rotating models are also available. And like all Dymax products, they are backed by the highest level of support in the industry.

What is the max cutting diameter?

Dymax Limb Tree Shears are available in multiple sizes with 8″ to 24″ maximum diameter cutting capacities, depending on the model you select. If you’re unsure which size you need, choose based on your typical limb/tree diameter (not the occasional outlier) and your machine class, and we’ll match the best-fit model.

What machines does it fit?

This attachment is built for 10 ton backhoes and 6-36 ton excavators. We can fit it to most major OEMs using the proper interface/adaptor for your machine (for example: Caterpillar, Case, John Deere, Hitachi, Hyundai, JCB, Komatsu, Kobelco, Samsung, Volvo, and others).

How much rotation does it have?

Rotating models provide 180° of hydraulic rotation, so the shear can be positioned to meet the limb/tree without constantly repositioning the carrier. This is especially useful in tight right-of-way and overhead work. Non-rotating models are also available.

Note: there is also a 360° rotator configuration for grapple truck applications, but the primary excavator/backhoe rotating models are 180°.

Do you offer a non-rotating version?

Yes. Non-rotating limb shear models are available for customers who want a simpler configuration while still getting the same core shearing performance for pruning and vegetation removal.
