Throwback Thursday

Dymax Inc. is part of the Balderson Family Legacy of work tools and attachments. During the Balderson’s Inc. years the company’s newsletter was the Balderson Blade. In many editions, you would find a caricature of Willard Balderson, President. Through Willard’s keen sense of humor, he always drove a message pertinent to Balderson products.

Why Dymax Tree Shears?

Dymax 16” Tree Shears easily remove trees that have up to 18″ trunks.  Plus, they cut so close to the ground leaving very little, if any, stumps.

Cut more trees.  Cut harder woods.  Cut ground level.  The Dymax Tree Shear is the king of tree shears and provides the strongest design for cutting woods of all types including hardwoods. Ideal for biomass clearing operations and applications for removing diseased trees, fire prevention methods, water conservation, power line utility tree removal and all general clearing operations where trees of all sizes and shape need to be removed. Available for Excavators, Backhoe Loaders and Skid Steer Loaders.

The Wall that Heals

Dymax is in the quaint town of Wamego, Kansas. Recently Wamego hosted “The Wall that Heals” mobile exhibit.  On Veterans Day 1996, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF) unveiled a half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., designed to travel to communities throughout the United States. Since its dedication, The Wall That Heals has been displayed at nearly 600 communities throughout the nation, spreading the Memorial’s healing legacy to millions

Dymax is proud to have hired and support veterans throughout the long history of Balderson manufacturing.  Here in Wamego the American workers forges buckets, blades and so much more for the agriculture, mining, forestry, construction and rail industries.

Dymax videographer, Don Kang, put together this short film to share.

On the Move Today!

Two big DYMAX buckets headed to Western Nebraska for corn handling. These buckets are built to provide years of productive use and are backed by the best service in the industry.

Conifers don’t have a chance in the UK!

In the UK, Kingwell Excavating, is using the Dymax Excavator 22″ HPX Tree Shear to take down 60-foot-tall Conifers in one swift move. With the large grapple arms the operators can quickly remove trees in one full cut and place them into piles. It’s faster and safer than operators handling chainsaws.

Growing up as a Balderson in the small town of Wamego meant that you spent your formative years surrounded by snow plows, buckets, blades, all types of work tools. So, not surprisingly by the year 2018, as a fourth generation Balderson, Scott is the President and top designer of innovative, problem solving Dymax work tools for the Ag, Mining, Construction, Forestry and Rail markets.
Here’s Scott at the World Ag Expo in California a couple decades ago.

The Dymax Vortex Brushcutter is the toughest, best engineered brush cutter for skid steer loaders. Equipped with a heavy-duty drive spindle, the Vortex delivers knockout blows to heavy duty brush and small trees. Available with a 70 or 80 inch cutting width, depending on your machine width. The Vortex is not your ordinary mower attachment, as it’s geared towards higher end performance and delivers more power.

Equipped with an open end frame design, the Vortex Brushcutter cuts the material before it encounters the deck. This allows for faster cleanout and recycle times while driving the skid loader forward.

You’ll be blown away!

Just this week, we caught the Kansas Dept. Wildlife and Parks using the Dymax Vortex Brushcutter, making easy access to favorite fishing spots.
