Skeleton Rock Bucket Screening Rock with Excavator

SKELETON ROCK BUCKET FOR WHEEL LOADERS AND EXCAVATORS

Dymax Skeleton Rock Buckets (also called rock screening buckets) separate fines from larger rock or debris before you haul or crush material. Built for wheel loaders and excavators, they’re available in multiple sizes for construction and quarry work.

Each bucket features high-tensile, abrasion-resistant tines with configurable tine spacing and heavy-duty teeth. Optional lip shrouds and side cutters add protection in high-wear applications.

FEATURES

  • Screen fines before you haul or crush. Open rib spacing and slotted side plates let material sift out so you’re moving less waste downstream.
  • Built for abusive material. High-strength T-1 steel construction (100,000 lb yield) stands up to rock, riprap, and demolition debris.
  • Extend working life with replaceable tips, teeth, and other wear parts. (Varies by model.)

OPTIONS

  • Custom rib spacing to match the size of material you want to keep vs. screen out
  • Lip shrouds, side shrouds, and side cutters for added wear protection.
  • Can be set up to accept OEM bolt-on cutting edges.

APPLICATIONS

  • Sorting riprap
  • Separating rock from soil
  • Demolition cleanup
  • Quarry oversize
  • Ditch/embankment cleanup

FAQ’S

A standard rock bucket is designed to carry and move material, while a skeleton bucket is designed to sort and separate material. The key difference is the open, tined structure of a skeleton bucket, which allows smaller material to fall through during operation.
Yes. Dymax offers skeleton rock bucket options for both wheel loaders (Class 30-100) and excavators (20T-45T) Available sizes and configurations vary by machine type and application. If you’re unsure what fits your machine, contact us with your machine make/model and application details.
Tine spacing depends on the material you’re handling and the size of material you want to retain or screen out. In general, tighter spacing retains smaller material and wider spacing allows more fines to pass through. If you’re screening specific rock sizes or working in mixed material, we can help you choose the best spacing for your job. Custom configurations are available.
Yes. Depending on the model and machine type, skeleton rock buckets may be available with different sizes, tine spacing options, and wear protection features. If your jobsite conditions are demanding or your material is abrasive, ask about configuration options that match your application.

To recommend the right skeleton rock bucket, it helps to have:

  • Machine make and model
  • Application (screening, sorting, cleanup, etc.)
  • Material type (rock, soil, demolition debris, etc.)
  • Target material size / desired separation size
  • Any jobsite constraints or wear concerns
